Our hearts go out to those affected by the fires in Los Angeles. California is WCN’s home, and these ecosystems that are burning are the ones many of us have grown up in. We’re grieving the impact this is having on communities in LA, and what this means for the wildlife that also call this land home. The devastation left by these fires speaks to the magnitude of the impact climate change is having and leaves us thinking of the future we are facing. Mitigating longer fire seasons and other effects of climate change is something we as a country are capable of influencing.
