Why Are Leaf Cutter Ants LOSING THEIR HEADS?

Ants are some of the most interesting animals on the planet. Entire colonies function as though they were a single individual. And there may not be a species of ants more fascinating than the leaf cutter ants. During my recent trip to Peru, I was able to observe these amazing insects for the first time. This is what I discovered when I was able to get a bit Closer to Nature.
