Our spring Wildlife Conservation Expo just wrapped, a lively Saturday filled with sunshine, amazing presentations about wildlife, and a warm reunion between our community and visiting conservationists. It’s such a thrill to bring so many incredible people together to celebrate wildlife and our shared impact to better their future, and this year’s spring Expo was no exception. But in many ways, it was exceptional—relive Expo’s best moments and surprises below!

  • WCN’s Wildlife Funds were represented on stage by WCN’s California Wildlife Program and the Elephant Crisis Fund, talking about the need to create safe wildlife crossings throughout California to maintain connectivity for pumas and other wildlife, as well as the need to protect forest elephants in the Congo.
  • Expo also featured some amazing guest speakers, including African Marine Mammal Conservation Organization, Hirola Conservation Program, and Ecoexist. They brought incredible tales of protecting ecosystems for African manatees, reticulated giraffes, and elephants, respectively. We were so pleased they could join us at Expo to make the day even more special.

  • Expo concluded with a special message from Dr. Pablo “Popi” Borboroglu from Global Penguin Society, who is currently in the field in Patagonia tracking penguins during their migration from southern Argentina up along the coast of Brazil. He regretted being unable to attend this spring’s Expo, but let the audience know that he will be at our upcoming fall Expo—and until then, you can join Popi in tracking the penguins here.

As incredible as these presentations were, Expo isn’t just about wildlife—it’s about thanking you for all that you help the conservationists achieve. Your passion and support for wildlife inspires us and enables us to make such a huge difference, and it’s our continuous pleasure to host you at Expo and give you the chance to hear straight from the conservationists that you support about the impact that you’re helping make possible. We’re so glad that you could spend this wonderful day with us.

Watch all the Wildlife Conservation Expo presentations again here, or to share them with friends and family who couldn’t attend. Thank you so much for making Expo such a triumph, and for being such an important part of our community. We’ll see you on October 5 in San Francisco for the next Expo!

WCN wishes to express our deep gratitude to the Wilson Sonsini Foundation for sponsoring this spring’s Expo.
