We know cats are good for our health. Studies have shown sharing your life with cats can lower your risk of heart attack, petting a cat can lower your blood pressure, and cats can reduce stress, anxiety and depression. A recent preliminary study has shown that owning a cat (or dog) may be linked to slower cognitive decline in older adults. For more about the study, visit the Good News Network.
If you missed any of the stories featured on the Conscious Cat this week, here’s a recap: on Monday, we told you about 10 subtle signs that your cat may be sick, on Tuesday, we reviewed the UAH Interactive Treat Dispenser, on Wednesday, Allegra told you about a new game we play with the seal from a container of tuna salad, and on Friday we provided information on what it means if your cat’s eyes change color. And don’t forget to enter our giveaway to win 20 pounds of Darwin’s raw cat food for your cats and 20 pounds for your favorite shelter or rescue!
