The FOUNDATION of Coastline K9, based in Naples, Florida, is rooted in a bond forged between a man and his best friend. The founder, Erick Innis, was selected to serve as special operations K9 handler in 2019, working alongside his four-legged teammate, veteran military working dog Rex. The pair served two combat tours throughout Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. After finishing five combat tours, Erick finished his military service and began training canines as a private handler. He went on to work as a K9 trainer for Navy Seal and Special Ops Army Ranger. The experiences Erick gained on the combat ground and working with the armed forces have led him to establish his own company. Over a decade after he first joined the military, Erick now leads a team of dog handlers offering professional training and services for protection dogs tailored to families. Erick said: “We have a lot of clients come to the Coastline K9 brand knowing that the pillar of the brand comes from special operations experience and utilising a dog in conflicts and understanding what it’s like to have the worst day in your life and to be able to fight for it.”
