A Golden Retriever is also a beloved family member and trusted companion in the home. He may not have given birth to the kittens himself, but he is eager to be a part of their upbringing. Of course, he first has to be carefully introduced to the babies. The dog, desperately wanting to say hello, lingers outside the bedroom door. Dad opens the door and Mom soon arrives to carefully supervise both the cat and dog as the pup walks into the room. The introductions can go either way; the dog can be indifferent or even put off, and the cat could hiss and protectively hide her babies. But what actually unfolds is pure magic!
The canine places his head on the bed and sniffs the tiny babies. The cat does not approach him with aggression. In fact, she gives the dog space so he can acclimate himself to the new situation.
