Is there anything cuter than kittens playing together? The two kitties in the video above are absolutely adorable. They’re playing a game that they invented, and it looks like they’re having lots of fun!

According to the post, the two felines are named Coco and Cheddar, and this is their favorite game. They love swiping at each other under the door, and it’s just too cute! Share this video with someone who could use some warm, fuzzy feelings today.

Coco and Cheddar are getting some great socialization by playing together. It’s important for young felines to make friends with new people and pets so they can grow up to be outgoing and well behaved. Here are a few things you should know about kitten socialization.

Socialization means exposing your cat to new experiences, people, and pets. Doing so will help them grow up knowing how to respond to novel situations with confidence.

They’ll also be more relaxed when being handled by people, including visitors, groomers, and the vet.

Between the ages of four and 14 weeks, a kitten’s brain has its greatest capacity for learning and memory. This is an important time for the socialization process.

Kittens should stay with their mother and littermates until they’re at least twelve weeks old. They will learn important lessons about being a cat from other cats.

Make sure your kitten meets lots of new people. Give them a perch to watch people go by so they get used to humans being part of their environment.

Borrow a cat-friendly dog or two so they can get some cross-species exposure. If you want them to meet other felines, it’s best to start when both cats are young, but older cats can get along with kittens, too.

Take your kitten for car rides — just for fun. A trip to the drive-thru or to pick up an order from the store is just the thing for getting them comfortable with going places.

Exposing your cat to varied experiences, places, and people along with teaching them to do different things throughout their life can help keep their brain flexible.
