When a tiny stray kitten was rescued and brought to a nearby veterinary clinic, he immediately won the heart of someone working there.

Emily Tomlinson, an employee at a vet’s office in Wolverhampton, England, spotted the little ginger cat and instantly fell in love.

Initially believed to be around 3 or 4 weeks old, the kitten seemed healthy at first glance. However, the vet discovered he had a condition.

“He has bilateral corneal edema. His sight is fine and it doesn’t affect his everyday life at all,” Emily said. His condition makes his eyes appear as one color, but with proper medication, it won’t develop into anything serious.

Emily named the cute little furball Munchie and decided to adopt him. But after a few weeks, she noticed something else wasn’t quite right.

The day after Christmas, Munchie’s health suddenly took a turn for the worse. He had to return to the veterinary clinic, where he stayed for four nights.

He was diagnosed with a rare condition called hypoparathyroidism, which causes abnormally low calcium levels in the blood. In severe cases, this disorder can lead to cats not eating and becoming very lethargic.

Once diagnosed, they started Munchie on treatment and a special diet, and he quickly bounced back. But his condition means he will likely remain the size of a kitten.

These abusers are facing numerous charges of animal abuse, but we must also ensure they never own or interact with pets again and receive counseling for their twisted psychological states.

What he lacks in size, he makes up for in personality. He quickly bonded with the other animals in the house: Bella the dog and Aslan the cat.

“He has a cheeky personality and a firm bond with all the other animals in the household,” Emily told Love Meow.
