Good To Know

What job would you do for free?

I don’t know what the job title would be, but Louis Catorze’s little cat-cousin Rodan would be the shadowy Orwellian figure responsible for censoring whatever information goes out to us pathetic humans. After all, Ignorance is Strength, non?

If you are of a certain age, and you have a cat of a certain age, then you will know about cats and newspapers. It’s the law that, if a human reads a newspaper, the cat must settle on it, causing the human to either read around the cat, ask a third party to seek out the real newspaper for them (the one underneath the cat being a cleverly-planted decoy), or abandon reading altogether.

Obviously shoving the cat off is bad form, and should not be done under any circumstances.

What will happen?

Well, I don’t know. Because I have never dared to try it.

Rodan is a modern Chat Noir and has taken this concept into the digital age. Here he is, firmly denying his mamma’s request to read her Kindle:

No.
