Dogs

In 2020, we first reported that the SPCA of Brevard County in Titusville, Florida was holding an ingenious fundraiser that both benefitted adoptable pets and helped the recently single celebrate their singleton status.

Today we are delighted to report that the campaign—in which a donation to the shelter will see your ex’s name unceremoniously defiled—is back by popular demand.

According to the shelter’s Facebook page, for an online donation of $5 or more, you can have your ex-honey’s name:

  • Written in sharpie on the bottom of a litter box, to “let our adorable, adoptable cats do what they will with it.”
  • OR
  • Your ex’s name will be written on a fire hydrant and “placed in one of our lovable adoptable dogs play yards for when they need a potty break.”

Is there a better way to say goodbye forever than a #2 on your former #1?
