Good To Know

I’m not much of party girl, so New Year’s Eve has always been a quiet day of reflection for me. I look back over the past year, and set some intentions for the coming year. If you’re going out to celebrate, please be safe.

2021 was a pretty good year for Allegra and me. We’re both healthy and safe, and even though the pandemic rages on, at least vaccines have given me the ability to safely gather with and hug my friends again. There are still a lot of things I loved to do that I’m not comfortable resuming yet, and I still wonder whether life will ever return to normal, but compared to 2020, this was a much better year!

I’ve never been much of a planner, and if the last two years have taught me anything, it’s that you need to treasure every moment you have with your loved ones, because you never know when it’s all going to change. And maybe that’s the only intention we need for 2022: live in the moment, and hold your loved ones close.

I wish you a safe and Happy New Year’s Eve and a very Happy New Year.
